I have got such a sweet tooth that I just can\u2019t resist any &nbsp; sweet or dessert. One such classic dessert which is my all time favourite is \u201c<b><i>Banoffee Pie<\/i><\/b>\u201c.<\/p>\n<div>\t<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center; height: 180px;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8060635266279624\" data-ad-slot=\"9883526129\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\"><ins id=\"aswift_0_expand\" style=\"border: medium none; height: 180px; width: 720px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; position: relative; visibility: visible; background-color: transparent; display: inline-table;\"><ins id=\"aswift_0_anchor\" style=\"border: medium none; height: 180px; width: 720px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; position: relative; visibility: visible; background-color: transparent; display: block;\"><\/ins><\/ins><\/ins><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Banoffee Pie is an English dessert consisting of layers of biscuits, toffee ( or caramelised condensed milk \u201c<i><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kuchpakrahahai.in\/2016\/03\/dulce-de-leche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dulce De Leche<\/a><\/b><\/i>\u2018), bananas and whipped cream. The highlight of this dessert is delicious combination of bananas and toffee and hence its given the name\u201dBanoffee\u201d pie. My curiosity about the origin and the invention of this recipe made me dig into some of the websites on internet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per the various internet sources, this dessert was invented in Britain at the \u201c<b><i>The Hungry Monk Restaurant<\/i><\/b>\u201d &nbsp;by owner <b><i>Nigel Mackenzie<\/i><\/b> and chef <b style=\"font-style: italic;\">Ian Dowding <\/b>in East Sussex in year 1971<b style=\"font-style: italic;\">. <\/b>The pie eventually became so popular that it even made its place in dictionary \u201cA filling for pie consisting of toffee and banana\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>There are other version available with this dessert including chocolate, ganache or coffee but I prefer sticking to the old classic version as it is truly said \u201cOld is Gold\u201d :D. The toffee in this recipe is maid using sweetened condensed milk. Transfer the biscuit and butter crumble on it. Press it with your hands or spoon on the base &amp; sides of the pie tin till they are equally distributed and becomes smooth.
